Uli Jon Roth - Scorpions Guitarist Bio
Posted August 25th, 2009The German guitarist, Uli Jon Roth, was born on the 18th of December 1954. The contribution to the field of neo-classical metal music by him is immense. Roth, along with some other members, had formed a band entitled Dawn Road towards the beginning of the 1970s. In 1973 the Scorpions separated owing to Michael Schenker who had left it to join the UFO. Klaus Meine and Rudolf Schenker , the other existing members of Scorpions, joined together with the members of Dawn Road to form a very strong group. The group’s name was changed to Scorpions as it had become quite popular during those years. Thus Uli Jon Roth became the Scorpions guitarist.

After attending 2 different schools in California he later on also attended the Musicians Institute situated in Hollywood. H he had music flowing through his veins even though he did not graduate from this institute. He had taught himself the rudiments of music by reading books and viewing music videos prior to joining Musicians Institute.
